The historic Trempealeau Hotel

The historic Trempealeau Hotel dates from 1871. This two-story wooden building survived a devastating fire in the original riverfront business district and was moved to its present location by a team of horses. Today it offers a step back into the relaxing atmosphere of a small river town. It offers eight European style river view rooms and two luxury suites.

Our rooms come in a variety of sizes, smoking and nonsmoking, that have either one queen, two doubles or a king-sized bed in each room. Our rooms with a king size bed also include a sofa sleeper, microwave and a small refrigerator. One nonsmoking room has two queen size beds and a microwave and small refrigerator. Up to two children under 12 stay free in their parent's room.

The focus of the second floor is a sun room with a four-person whirlpool spa and a panoramic view of the river valley. The second floor is handicapped accessible with one fully handicapped-accessible room. All rooms on the second floor have two double beds.

Our one bedroom kitchenettes have a two night minimum and they include coffee pot, toaster, stove and refrigerator.

All of our rooms and kitchenettes have air conditioning, in-room coffee, and cable TV with free HBO. Our AAA rating guarantees you clean, comfortable rooms.
