Trempealeau
which means "Mountain Soaking in Water," is Western Wisconsin's Recreational
Headquarters. Minutes from Perrot State Park and the National Wildlife Refuge, a
crossroads for the Great River State Bicycle Trail and with
several lakes, the Long Lake Canoe Trail, and the Mississippi River at hand.
Take
the Great River Road, Highway 35, to some of the most colorful scenery in the Mississippi
Valley. It boasts all of the greenery
of spring to the blaze of autumn to the undisturbed snowy slopes of winter.
With
camping, hiking, biking, canoeing, bird watching, boating, fishing, hunting, cross-country
skiing, and snowmobiling available, Trempealeau and the surrounding
area are becoming more popular as a
